Rap icon Nicki Minaj is joining forces with President Donald Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations, Michael Waltz, for an event to bring global attention to the ongoing genocide against Christians in Nigeria.

The event, scheduled for Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. ET at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in New York, will focus on the systematic religious violence and mass killings of Christians that have escalated for years while the Biden-Harris State Department largely looked the other way.

Ambassador Waltz, a combat-decorated Green Beret and former Florida congressman, praised Minaj’s courage on Sunday in a post on X.

Waltz wrote, “Minaj is not only arguably the greatest female recording artist, but also a principled individual who refuses to remain silent in the face of injustice.”

“I’m grateful she’s leveraging her massive platform to spotlight the atrocities against Christians in Nigeria, and I look forward to standing with her as we discuss the steps the President and his administration are taking to end the persecution of our Christian brothers and sisters,” he continued.

Minaj responded to his post directly, writing, “Ambassador, I am so grateful to be entrusted with an opportunity of this magnitude. I do not take it for granted. It means more than you know. The Barbz & I will never stand down in the face of injustice. We’ve been given our influence by God. There must be a bigger purpose.”

The event was formally announced the following day.

“Tuesday at 1:30pm ET — I’m welcoming @NICKIMINAJ to the U.S. Mission for a special event moderated by Harris Faulkner @FAULKNERFOCUS on President Trump’s priority to combat religious violence and the killing of Christians in Nigeria. Don’t miss it,” Waltz wrote with a link to the livestream.

For years, radical Islamist groups like Boko Haram and Fulani militias have carried out massacres, church burnings, and village raids in Nigeria’s Middle Belt and northern states, killing thousands of Christians annually.

Earlier this month, as The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Minaj publicly thanked President Trump for highlighting the ongoing genocide of Christians.

Minaj shared Trump’s statement from Truth Social and expressed her gratitude for living in America.

Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God.

No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion. We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other.

Numerous countries all around the world are being affected by this horror & it’s dangerous to pretend we don’t notice.

Thank you to The President & his team for taking this seriously.
God bless every persecuted Christian.
Let’s remember to lift them up in prayer.

The post included a screenshot of Trump’s full statement, in which he declared Nigeria a “Country of Particular Concern” due to the existential threat facing Christianity there.

Trump wrote:

Christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria. Thousands of Christians are being killed. Radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter. I am hereby making Nigeria a “COUNTRY OF PARTICULAR CONCERN” — But that is the least of it. When Christians, or any such group, is slaughtered like is happening in Nigeria (3,100 versus 4,476 Worldwide), something must be done! I am asking Congressman Riley Moore, together with Chairman Tom Cole and the House Appropriations Committee, to immediately look into this matter, and report back to me. The United States cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening in Nigeria, and numerous other Countries. We stand ready, willing, and able to save our Great Christian population around the World!

Since 2009, over 52,000 Christians have been murdered, making Nigeria one of the deadliest places for followers of the faith.

Advocacy groups describe the situation as an underreported genocide, with villages raided, churches destroyed, and communities targeted in a campaign of religious violence that has drawn limited international intervention until recently.

A few days later, the official White House TikTok account shared a video featuring President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump using the viral trend of a mashup of Minaj’s song “Beez in the Trap” and “What’s Up?” by 4 Non Blondes.

“The President & First Lady of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Barbz, idk which one of you uploaded this to the white house TikTok but just know unlimited backstage GAG CITY FOR LIFE,” Minaj wrote in response on X.

“Idk what timeline we’re on right now,” she continued. “I’m just goin w|the flow.”

This isn’t the first time Minaj has voiced support for Trump.

Just last month, Minaj faced backlash for praising the president while taking aim at Vice President Kamala Harris, crediting Trump for allowing “flattering photos” of her to be posted online without suppression.

“Flattering photos are allowed to be posted of me again. Thanks, POTUS,” Minaj wrote. “Epiphany had politicians thinking she would lead them to a victory. Had live nation thinking she knew her sh*t. lol. How much money did VP Harris have stacked up for her campaign, again? Yikes.”

Minaj has also shared content featuring Trump’s granddaughter dancing to one of her songs, further signaling her support for the president.

In addition to her comments on Trump, Minaj has a history of questioning mainstream narratives, including her skepticism toward COVID-19 vaccines.

Back in 2021, the rapper tweeted about not rushing into vaccination, stating, “They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. if I get vaccinated it won’t for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research.”

She also infamously shared a controversial anecdote, saying, “My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen.”

Nicki Minaj Says She Was Locked Out of Twitter Shortly After Sharing Tucker Carlson Clip (VIDEO)

Around the same time, the wildly popular rapper shared a clip of Tucker Carlson defending her and caused an uproar once again, as liberals demanded she was siding with “racists.”

Minaj refused to back down and apologize for sharing the clip.

When someone tweeted at her saying, “you know he’s a white nationalist, right?” Minaj fired right back.

Right. I can’t speak to, agree with, even look at someone from a particular political party. Ppl aren’t human any more. If you’re black & a Democrat tells u to shove marbles up ur ass, you simply have to. If another party tells u to look out for that bus, stand there & get hit https://t.co/OhjQZCbmBa

Minaj responded to another person claiming the Fox News host is a “racist,” by saying “the black woman lied on me & made ppl attack me. But I can’t quote this man who did the opposite. Okay. F-CK HIM. YASSSSSSSWOOHOOOOOOOOOO happy now? Brain dead”
