President Donald J. Trump recently expressed his deep disappointment with Vladimir Putin following their August 15 summit at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska. In an interview, Trump emphasized the unnecessary nature of the Russia–Ukraine conflict and reaffirmed his determination to end the human tragedy it continues to cause.
“I am very disappointed in him (Putin). He and I always had a great relationship… thousands of people are dying. They’re not Americans… and it’s a war that makes no sense.”
