President Trump announced on Monday that he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin and is already arranging a meeting between Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Per Fox News’s Bret Baier German Chancellor Friedrich Merz told reporters that the meeting between Putin and Zelensky will happen within two weeks.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump revealed during his meeting with Zelensky, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer that Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to accept a deal that involves security guarantees for Ukraine.
Ukraine has demanded security guarantees before agreeing to a truce with Russia.
“During the meeting, we discussed Security Guarantees for Ukraine, which Guarantees would be provided by the various European Countries, with a coordination with the United States of America,” Trump said.
“Everyone is very happy about the possibility of PEACE for Russia/Ukraine.”
Trump also confirmed that he called Putin and “began the arrangements” for Zelensky and Putin to meet. “After that meeting takes place, we will have a Trilat, which would be the two Presidents, plus myself,” he said.
“This was a very good, early step for a War that has been going on for almost four years. Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, are coordinating with Russia and Ukraine. ”

Trump: I had a very good meeting with distinguished guests, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, of Ukraine, President Emmanuel Macron, of France, President Alexander Stubb, of Finland, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, of Italy, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, of the United Kingdom, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Friedrich Merz, President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, in the White House, which ended in a further meeting in the Oval Office. The White House said the multilateral meeting in the East Room officially ended at approximately 5:35 pm ET. As the President noted, the East Room meetig “ended in a further meeting in the Oval Office.”
Earlier, it was reported that Trump paused the high-stakes meeting to call Putin. It would appear that this is when they were moved to the Oval Office.
