Corrupt Democrats Could Finally Face Justice

On April 16, 2025, Attorney General Bondi and Education Secretary McMahon announced enforcement actions against the State of Maine for failing to protect women and girls in sports. This follows a federal investigation into Maine’s noncompliance with Title IX – a civil rights law that guarantees women and girls equal protection in education and athletics.

New York City’s political system has long been criticized for its inefficiency and its inability to address the corruption that plagues its institutions. Despite the existence of agencies like the Comptroller’s office and the Public Advocate, these bodies have failed to combat corruption meaningfully.

The Public Advocate, for example, has a budget of $7 million but is limited in its ability to take real action. It lacks the authority to file lawsuits or prosecute corrupt officials, leaving it largely powerless in the face of widespread government dysfunction.

Jim Walden’s campaign for New York City mayor proposes a radical change: a plan to replace the Public Advocate with a new body, the Department of Public Integrity, which would be tasked with investigating and prosecuting corrupt politicians, city workers, and elected officials.

The new department would operate independently of political influence, ensuring that corruption is addressed without interference. Walden’s plan calls for the creation of an NYC Corruption Court, where cases would be fast-tracked, allowing for swift justice and ensuring that anyone convicted of corruption is permanently barred from holding public office.

The goal of this initiative is simple: to restore integrity to city government by making it clear that corruption will not be tolerated.

Walden’s proposal reflects his belief that New York City’s political system has become too deeply entrenched in corruption to be fixed with the same old structures and oversight mechanisms.

The city needs an independent, powerful entity that can act swiftly to remove corrupt officials from power and ensure that those who betray the public trust face real consequences.

Walden’s proposed reforms come at a time when New Yorkers are increasingly dissatisfied with the current state of politics in their city.

Mayor Eric Adams, whose administration has been smeared by ethical scandals and accusations of corruption, has failed to restore confidence in the city’s leadership.

The public’s frustration with the city’s political elite has reached a boiling point, with many questioning whether the system can be reformed from within. Walden, however, believes that significant change is possible if the right structures are put in place.

While Walden’s opponents, such as socialist Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani, offer broad and vague policies that could turn the city into a communist stronghold, Walden stands out with specific, actionable plans.

Walden prioritizes tackling corruption, arguing that without addressing this fundamental issue, any other reforms will be undermined by the same corrupt system that holds the city back.

Walden’s plans in other sectors important to New Yorkers are also impressive. For example, he is one of the few candidates in the race supporting charter schools and advocating for the expansion of school choice within New York City.

Having an independent centrist candidate support charter schools is rare.

Walden also pledges to be a “partner” to the Trump administration rather than an adversary. He understands that the city cannot afford illegal immigration, which drains resources and directly impacts everyday New Yorkers.

Walden is also taking an unconventional approach to the mayoral race. He has pledged to drop out of the race by October if he is not leading in the polls among candidates who support a pro-capitalist agenda.

Walden’s plan is to unite candidates against Mamdani’s socialist policies, forming a coalition that can challenge the growing influence of far-left politics in the city.

He has already convinced former Governor Andrew Cuomo to sign the agreement, agreeing to withdraw if they are not leading by the fall.

Walden’s strategy may be seen as a long shot, but his willingness to make bold moves could shake up the race. If he can unite the opposition against Mamdani and secure the backing of other pro-capitalist candidates, he could pose a serious challenge to the socialist candidate’s growing support.

By focusing on corruption and aligning himself with others who share his vision for New York City, Walden may be able to carve out a path to victory.
