Biden administration officials are turning on their former colleague Karine Jean-Pierre after she announced on Wednesday she has left the Democratic Party in a promotion for her new book ““Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines,” set for release on October 21.
Biden National Economic Council technology and competition policy advisor Tim Wu went on the record in a post on X Thursday blasting Biden’s former White House press secretary Jean-Pierre as “kinda dumb” and “incoherent”: “From WH policy staff perspective, the real problem with Karine Jean-Pierre was that she was kinda dumb. No interest in understanding harder topics. Just gave random incoherent answers on policy.”
Wu posted his scathing comment at 7:42 a.m. EDT, but deleted it later Thursday morning.
Jeremy Edwards, who worked for Jean-Pierre as an assistant White House press secretary was more succinct, posting on Wednesday, “lol”:
