President Trump on Monday evening championed his historic election win and the exciting events to come next year during a Kennedy Center Board dinner in the White House’s State Dining Room.
Recalling his first term, he spoke of his disappointment that he would not be president when the United States hosted the FIFA World Cup soccer tournament and the Olympics in 2026.
“And then they rigged the election,” the president said. “And then I said, you know what I’ll do? I’ll run again, and I’ll shove it up their ass.”
He continued, “And that’s what I did, and all of a sudden, I then realized— I said you know what, I got the Olympics, I got the World Cup, and I got the 250th.”
President Trump has revealed massive plans for the Fourth of July next year, commemorating America’s 250th birthday. On January 29, President Trump signed a Presidential Action titled “Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday.”
The action established a Task Force on Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday and reestablished prior executive orders to safeguard American monuments.
Trump celebrated the almost biblical timing of his second term, which coincides with this major milestone in our nation’s history.
“If they would have left us alone and wouldn’t have cheated on the election, and wouldn’t have rigged it, I would have been retired right now. I would have been happily doing something else, and instead, they have me for four more years. Can you beleive it?” Trump said.
