While speaking at the annual Republican National Lawyers Association’s policy conference on Friday, White House Executive Associate Director of Enforcement and Removal Operations Tom Homan described the rescue of a pregnant 14-year-old girl who was found living with two adult men who were trafficking her.
Sadly, Homan said that her story is far from unique.
“We just found one two days ago. A 14-year-old little girl. Living with two adult males. Who trafficked her,” Homan said. “We found her, she’s pregnant. From trafficking being forced into prostitution. 14 years old. We are taking care of her. Both physically and mentally.”
Homan explained that while the media likes to portray immigration enforcement as uncaring, it couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Despite what the media says, we are not heartless. We care about these kids. I am a father,” Homan explained.
Homan lamented, “That sh-t is happening every day. We are going to put an end to it. Everything we can do.”

There is no definitive, up-to-date number of unaccompanied minor illegal immigrants being sex trafficked in the United States, but a 2023 Department of State report said that in FY 2022, of 2,264 foreign national children certified as trafficking victims, 23 percent (roughly 520) experienced sex trafficking. However, this figure is not limited to illegal immigrants.
Homan said that several thousand children have already been rescued since President Donald Trump returned to office.
The Center Square reports, “The Biden administration admitted that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement didn’t have the resources to properly vet noncitizen children’s sponsors – adults ICE places the children with who have some connection to them, whether family or not, who become their caretakers for a time. The agency also admitted to not knowing where over 290,000 of these children were, as it was unable to keep up with all of their records.”
“Some were perfectly safe, and some weren’t,” Homan said.
There has been a 96.7% decrease in illegal border crossings since the start of the new Trump administration.
