The Globalists’ nightmare is fast becoming a reality, as MAGA-influenced, right-winger George Simion – who is against military support for Ukraine and skeptical about the EU – won a major victory in the first round of ‘redo’ of the presidential election in Romania.
BBC reported:
“George Simion came first with 40.96% of the vote, and will go into the runoff on 18 May as the clear favorite against the liberal mayor of Bucharest.
Nicusor Dan narrowly beat Crin Antonescu, candidate of the governing coalition, with just under 21% of the vote.”
The presidential election in Romania was cancelled last December over unproven allegations of campaign fraud and Russian interference after Calin Georgescu had an unexpected landslide victory.
But the Romanian people AGAIN rejected the EU Globalist pressure, and gave Simion a decisive win.
“’This election is not about one candidate or another, but about every Romanian who has been lied to, ignored, humiliated, and still has the strength to believe and defend our identity and rights’, Simion posted on X on Friday.”
The Romanian diaspora voted ‘en masse’ for him, with more than 70% of votes in Italy, Spain and Germany.
“Many of the voters who backed Georgescu in the annulled election last year are thought to have switched their allegiance to Simion, and the two men voted together on Sunday.”
All around Europe, right-wingers celebrated Simion’s victory as a major boost for Euroskeptic and anti-Globalist forces within the EU.
Politico reported:
“’Congratulations to George Simion, Vice President of ECR Party, on the excellent result in the first round of the presidential elections! Wishing you the best of luck in the second round!’ said Mateusz Morawiecki, former Polish prime minister and current president of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) group in the European Parliament.”
Simion’s victory means Romania may align itself with anti-Ukraine voices such as Hungary and Slovakia.
“’In Romania the people finally voted, freely, with their heads and hearts. With all due respect to the ‘gentlemen’ of Brussels and their dirty tricks. Bravo George Simion!’ said Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, leader of the far-right League party.”
