President Trump put on a masterclass performance on NBC’s flagship morning show and surely made the far-left host regret trying to come at him with a vile smear job.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump sat down for a one-on-one interview at Mar-a-Lago with NBC’s “Meet the Press” far-left host Kristen Welker. The interview, taped for Sunday, covered various topics focusing on Trump’s incredibly successful first 100 days in office.
As expected, Welker repeatedly tried to entrap Trump with a series of gotcha questions, which he handled with aplomb. At one point in the interview, she used one to vilely insinuate that Trump was running America like a dictator.
“What do you say to those who believe you are taking the country down an authoritarian path?” Welker inquired.
Trump responded to this nasty ‘question’ by first channeling Ronald Reagan as part of his brilliant answer.
“Well, there you go again,” Trump retorted. “Why don’t you ask in a different way?”
Trump then pointed out how many immigrants are doing whatever they can to legally enter America, and it’s in large part because they love what he is doing.
“Many people want to come into our country,” Trump explained. “Many people love Trump.”

Trump next reminded Welker that the American people overwhelmingly elected him and that he is carrying out what he promised to do.
“I won the election, they (my critics) didn’t win the election,” he said. “I won the popular vote, I won ALL seven swing states by A LOT.”
Trump proceeded to make a colorful reference to the voter fraud he overcame to achieve his historic victory before turning back to roast Welker again.
“Actually, I thought there was a lot of hanky panky going on, but it was too big to rig,” he added. “So, when you make these statements, ‘people say this, people say that,’ well, they had their chance at the election and they lost big.”
Upon hearing this, Welker tried to interrupt, but Trump quickly cut her off.
“You should ask the question differently,” he told her. “You should say what about the people who want to be in this country?”
Welker then laughably claimed she was just trying to give Trump a chance to respond to his enemies. Trump again gave an excellent answer.
“These people are going to be very happy,” he said. “It was an absolutely unprecedented 100 days.”
