In January of this year, tasked by President Trump, Ric Grenell traveled to Venezuela for the United States as an envoy for special missions.
Not much was reported about this trip taken by Grenell. In fact, in a quick search, all that was found were only a few stories.
This story came to my attention through a J6er. Immediately and without hesitation, I agreed to try and help, knowing it is something that the American people need to know.
At the time of Grenell’s trip, an unknown number of American citizens were being held hostage by the Government of Nicholas Madura [a government that most question the validity of].
Reports ranged from 6 to 10 hostages behind bars in deplorable conditions. When Grenell came out of his meeting with Madura, he had secured the release of 6 American hostages.
This was a great day for these 6 hostages as well as Grenell, the new Trump administration, and America. These 6 men were flown home, now safe and far away from the horrific conditions of the Venezuelan prison. President Trump sent out an X post about how proud he was of his entire staff and Ric Grenell, and rightly so.

However, what no one bothered to post about is that there are still 9 hostages left suffering in that exact prison the 6 were brought home from. 9 American men, the most American Hostages in one foreign prison anywhere in the world.
Joseph St. Clair and Wilbert Casteneda are just two of the 9 hostages. St. Clair is an Air Force veteran, and Casteneda is an active-duty Navy SEAL.
Both were kidnapped and held hostage by Madura’s government. The exact amount of time these two have been kept in captivity is uncertain due to a lack of communication.
Scott St. Clair, father of Joseph, has been advocating for his son since he was alerted of his capture after the release of the six hostages in January.
“I received a call from an international number and against all odds I answered,” he then said, “It was a call telling me that my son was being held, I had no idea prior to that call.”
Joseph a highly decorated USAF Vet has been diagnosed with PTSD after his military service. At the time of his capture, he was working in Columbia as a linguist.
From some information that was gathered, after the release of the 6 other hostages, it is believed that Joseph may have been visiting an area that was close to the Colombia/Venezuela border when he was kidnapped.
Christian Casteneda, brother of Navy Seal Wilbert, has heard very little about his brother except that his brother is, as of January 31st, still alive. The lack of communication and information is frustrating and hurtful to all the families of these men.
Proof of life has not been offered for any of the hostages’ families. Through all this suffering, God has drawn the families together. The families have grown close and have become a support system for each other.
Some within the Trump administration have been available to the families, and yet these 9 men are still being held. The American people need to help stand up for these families. This is, or should be, a non-partisan issue.
There are democrat representatives fighting for criminals and illegals, and we have two young men who have fought for us, We the People, in one of the worst prisons in the world, having who knows what done to them. We Americans should be outraged that this has been overlooked.

On April 30th in Washington, DC, there will be a rally and a mural unveiling of the 9 hostages still languishing in a foreign prison run by a questionable government.
