On Wednesday, Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM) provided yet another example of her desire to score cheap political points through childish stunts rather than focusing on America’s safety.
During a House Oversight Committee hearing on sanctuary cities, Stansbury launched a profanity-filled tired rather than asking poignant questions of the failed Mayors of sanctuary cities testifying before the committee.
According to Stansbury, President Trump’s efforts to remove child rapists, murderers, and other violent illegals from our streets is “absolute bulls**t.”
“I always think that we should sage this room after these hearings because we hear a lot of crazy stuff in here,” Stansbury began.
“Our mayors are sitting here, enduring this ridiculous, ridiculous hearing as they’ve been threatened in front of the American people.”
She continued, “I want to reject the fundamental premise of this hearing because what this entire effort is about is intimidating state and local officials, attacking law-abiding immigrant families and spending millions of dollars of taxpayer dollars both in the administration and in Congress to make ads that are complete smoke and mirrors, trying to say that Donald Trump has somehow secured America’s safety.”
“It’s total bulls**t, absolute bulls**t,” she screamed.
“They are not making America safer again, and what they are doing is terrorizing immigrant families. That is what they are doing.”

Stansbury is developing a reputation for petulance.
On Tuesday night during President Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress, Stansbury weirdly flashed a “this is not normal” sign as he walked by her as he entered the chamber.
The nasty stunt ended when a GOP lawmaker snatched her sign and tossed it into the air, leaving Stansbury looking embarrassed.
