A left-wing CNN panelist was left with egg on his face last night after falsely accusing Scott Jennings of racism during a debate on the vote to release the Epstein files.
As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, both the Senate and the House passed the Epstein Transparency Act to compel the Department of Justice to release the Epstein files.
The vote in the Senate was unanimous, while one House member (Rep. Clay Higgins, R-LA) voted no.
Following the vote to release the Epstein files, CNN NewsNight anchor Abby Phillip convened a panel consisting of Jennings, pollster Josh Doss, Lydia Moynihan, Tezlyn Figaro, and The Black List founder Franklin Leonard to discuss the development.
Jennings was forced to defend Trump after Leonard started smearing the President for his decades-old association with Epstein (Trump did nothing illegal or inappropriate), and questioning why he was getting a ‘free pass.’
Jennings fired back by saying Leonard, who is black, needed an ‘IQ test’ if he thought Trump engaged in sexual misconduct, considering he has been in public life for 10 years.
Seeing this exchange enraged Doss, and he immediately pulled out the race card against Jennings. But Jennings quickly fired back at this ridiculous smear against him and reminded Doss that they know each other.
Doss then pivoted to alleging that Trump was getting away with his supposed connection to Epstein because he’s a rich white man, while claiming that blacks are not afforded the same presumption of innocence.
But Jennings squashed this nonsensical argument by pointing out a simple fact: if the Democrats had ANYTHING on Trump concerning Epstein, the entire public would know by now.
Moreover, Democrats continued to stay with Epstein.

JENNINGS: It’s ridiculous. You want to make it racial? Go ahead. It’s ridiculous. I know this man. He’s a smart guy, and we’re having a debate.
(pointing to another panelist) We don’t even know each other. But we (referring to himself and Doss) do.
DOSS: This actually relates back to the topic we’re having, Scott. You’re sitting here with so much confidence, without seeing all of the docs, that Trump is innocent.
There is a presumption of guilt that a black man walks around with. I have been watching Donald Trump navigate this situation with the presumption of innocence that is never afforded to us.
We have videos of him saying ‘grab’em by the you-know-what…That fact alone is enough for us to ask questions about him…Can we see the files?
JENNINGS: Here’s what I think. It’s been going on for 10 years. If there was a shred of anything to know about Donald Trump, we would already know it.
DOSS: Absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence!
JENNINGS: We know that Trump knew Jeffrey Epstein, and we know that he excommunicated him from Mar-a-Lago and his life. We also know that after Epstein was convicted, that powerful Democrats continued to stay in touch with Jeffrey Epstein.
This is not a story about Trump. It is a story about powerful men. Many of them are in the Democratic Party. We’re going to find that out.
