New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) has claimed that the majority of Americans are “disgusted” by President Trump.
Less than one year after his stunning landslide victory over Kamala Harris, Trump has delivered or started to deliver on vast swathes of his agenda that he promised the American people he would enact.
Yet according to AOC, more people approve of him than ever.
“Donald Trump is less popular than he has ever been. He is underwater on virtually every issue,” said in a video posted to social media.
If you oppose and are disgusted by what his administration is doing, you are in the company of a majority of Americans. You are not alone.”
”More people disapprove and are opposed to this administration than they are in support of this administration. Those are the numbers.”

While it is impossible to know exactly how Americans think at one single moment, approval polls suggest his popularity has remained mostly stable and has even ticked up in recent weeks.
Three weeks into the government shutdown that began last month, CNN data analyst Harry Enten explained that Trump’s approval had actually gone up slightly rather than declined.
“This shutdown hasn’t eaten into Donald Trump’s support at all,” Enten explained at the time. “His net approval rating is actually up a point in terms of his popular support.
“So the bottom line is this, the first shutdown during Trump’s first term 2018 and 2019 was hurting Donald Trump. This one is not hurting him at all.
“There’s no real reason Donald Trump might say, at least when it comes to popular support, ‘I want to get out of this shutdown.’”
This shutdown is a different world for Trump than the 2018-19 shutdown. He’s in a much better spot.

The shutdown has largely been triggered by the Democratic Party’s refusal to agree to significant spending cuts intended to reduce the rapidly expanding budget deficit.
As a result, thousands of essential employees, including border patrol officers, air traffic controllers, federal firefighters, FBI agents, and TSA screeners have gone without pay since the standoff began.
