Another day, another controversy surrounding communist Muslim NYC Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.
Last Friday, Mamdani claimed during a press conference in the Bronx regarding ‘Islamophobia’ that his aunt suffered after 9/11, saying she felt unsafe in her hijab.
The Gateway Pundit reported that his tearful story fell apart when it was revealed that his aunt DID NOT wear a hijab nor even live in New York City during that time. In fact, she lived in Tanzania, thousands of miles away.
Now, a video has resurfaced of Mamdani at the 2023 Democratic Socialists of America’s national convention, unscoring his anti-police views, peddling a conspiracy-tinged statement regarding the NYPD and the Israeli military.
Mamdani appears to be implying that the NYPD is somehow under the control of the IDF in yet another not-so-thinly veiled antisemtic dog whistle.
“We are in a country where those connections abound. Especially in New York City, you have so many opportunities to make clear the ways in which that struggle over there is tied to capitalist interests over here,” he said.
“For anyone to care about these issues, we have to make them connected,” he continued. “We have to make clear that when the boot of the NYPD is on your neck, it’s been laced by the IDF.”

Mamdani’s disdain for police has not been subtle. In 2020, at the height of the Black Lives Matter riots across the country, Mamdani described the NYPD as “racist, anti-queer, and a major threat to public safety.”

In 2020, he also called for defunding the police by a billion dollars because “policing is something that does not create safety.”
