John Cusack, the actor who appeared in a number of successful films in the 1980s and beyond, has become a far left online activist in recent years.
He made an appearance at the ‘No Kings’ protest in Chicago on Saturday.
The funny thing is that Cusack went out of his way to criticize who he called Trump’s ‘masked goons’ while he himself was wearing what was essentially a disguise.
Like all things for the left, it’s just different when they do it.
From Mediaite, via Yahoo News:
Actor John Cusack had a message for President Donald Trump and his “masked goons” on behalf of his hometown of Chicago: “Go to hell!”
Cusask, during a brief interview with CNN on Saturday at the No Kings rally in Chicago, blasted the president — something he has enjoyed doing frequently over the last decade. In particular, The High Fidelity star told reporter Whitney Wild he was upset about Trump sending Border Patrol and ICE agents to the city to deport illegal immigrants.
“Everyone knows the score, right? The authoritarians divide and conquer and they create an ‘other’ and then they pick on it, pick on the person, harass them, jail them, and that’s all used as a direction so they can steal as much as they can [and] maintain power,” Cusack said. “We all know history. So, that’s what he’s doing, and we have masked goons roaming the streets, hiding their faces, abducting people.”
Cusack, in a different clip shared by CNN later, told the president to go to hell, before adding Trump was ignorant of Chicago’s liberal history.

Naturally, there were other left wing celebrities at the protests as well.
From The Wrap:
A series of nationwide protests against the Trump administration kicked off Saturday morning, beginning in New York (after a smattering that took place in Europe in the day’s early hours) and concluding in Los Angeles. The protests drew the participation and support of several celebrities, including Mark Ruffalo and John Cusack.
Ruffalo first mentioned the protests Thursday, when he shared a video promoting NoKings.org. “WE the People – WE have the power and together WE will win! Check out this inspiring video and share it with your family, friends and neighbors to join one of the over 2,500 No Kings protests across our country this Saturday, October 18th,” Ruffao wrote on Instagram.
“Courage is contagious! Each of us have an important role to play in this historic moment by exercising our First Amendment rights of freedom of speech and peaceful protest.”
These people will do anything to remain relevant, especially now that the Hollywood system is collapsing.
