One of the brightest new stars in country music decided to mimic the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) and alienate the bulk of his fanbase with a new song earlier this week.
As TGP readers know, The Dixie Chicks’ lead singer Natalie Maines attacked then-President George W. Bush while condemning the Iraq War while performing in London back on March 10, 2003. The Dixie Chicks were among the world’s most popular country music bands at the time.
“Just so you know, we’re on the good side with y’all,” Maines told the audience. “We do not want this war, this violence, and we’re ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas.”
Following her remarks, fans of the Dixie Chicks responded by smashing the band’s record CDs while country radio stations blacklisted them. They never recovered their popularity from Maines’s remarks.
Now Grammy-award-winning country music superstar Zach Bryan has decided to take the Maines path to failure. Earlier this week, Bryan shared a new single called “Bad News” where he trashed police officers and the heroic ICE agents defending our country.
He then closed with blasting America herself, mourning “the fading of the red, white, and blue.”
Here are the despicable lyrics in question:
My friends are all degenerates, but they’re all I got
The generational story of dropping the plot
I heard the cops came
Cocky motherf**kers ain’t they? And ICE is gonna come, bust down your door
Try to build a house no one builds no more
But I got a telephone
Kids are all scared and all alone
The Boss stopped bumping, the rock stopped rolling
The middle fingers rising, and it won’t stop showing
I got some bad news
The fading of the red, white, and blue
LISTEN:
Country singer Zach Bryan just wrote a song sympathizing with illegal immigrants and trashing America. His new track called Bad News condemns ICE raids and mourns the “fading of the red, white, and blue.”

Americans reacted to Bryan’s vulgar song with understandable fury. Even DHS Chief Kristi Noem weighed in.
So the narcissistic, recently divorced cheater who told a 14-year-old to get off his d*ck — Zach Bryan — made a song called “Bad News” bashing ICE and saying the red, white, and blue is fading.
Maybe the flag isn’t fading — maybe your character is. But then again, narcissists… pic.twitter.com/KEtgx2pIpo

Dear Zach Bryan,
Fvck you.
Sincerely, American Patriots
ICE agents risk their lives daily. Violent leftists throw bricks at them, attack them, spit at them, even shoot at them.
And this is the song he released.

We were just invaded by over 10 million illegal aliens and who does Zach Bryan cheer for?

Zach Bryan just lost most of his audience. What an idiot. pic.twitter.com/OBOYIqIWWQ

I paid a lot of money to see Zach Bryan this close because I love the music. It’s disappointing he’s inserted politics into his music.
Also, he’s kind of a dick in real life. pic.twitter.com/n0l0usQUXo— Flint Ironstag (@here_garbage) October 7, 2025

Zach is just a Woke singer who tries to be country but isn’t. He doesn’t have American values nor does he respect the country. https://t.co/MIn47pF99h
