Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has turned to legacy media to repeatedly whine about President Trump’s efforts to keep Chicago residents safe, even suggesting the President is trying to turn the city into a “war zone.”
On Sunday, President Trump ordered the deployment of four hundred Texas National Guard troops to Illinois and Oregon to protect ICE agents and federal facilities under violent siege by Antifa and other leftist terrorists in Chicago and Portland.
The Gateway Pundit reported that, during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Pritzker told host Jake Tapper that Trump sending in the National Guard is part of a strategy to create “mayhem on the ground.”
Pritzker’s penned a histrionic response to the deployment of the Guard troops:
“This evening, President Trump is ordering 400 members of the Texas National Guard for deployments to Illinois, Oregon, and other locations within the United States. No officials from the federal government called me directly to discuss or coordinate.
“We must now start calling this what it is: Trump’s Invasion. It started with federal agents, it will soon include deploying federalized members of the Illinois National Guard against our wishes, and it will now involve sending in another state’s military troops.
White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson responded to Pritzker’s whining in a statement to Fox News.
“Chicago is descending into lawlessness and chaos because this slob cares more about boosting his anti-Trump creds on X than he does about making his city safe,” White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson told Fox News Digital.
“Pritzker should be ashamed of himself,” she said.
Chicago is clearly in need of federal help. The Gateway Pundit reported that Chicago Police Department radio transmissions reveal that local cops were explicitly ordered to ignore distress calls from federal agents who were pinned down and ambushed by armed rioters on Saturday morning.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents were ambushed and rammed by an armed suspect in Broadview, Illinois.
The attack, involving 10 vehicles boxing in the agents’ car, forced officers to fire defensive shots at the assailant, a U.S. citizen woman armed with a semi-automatic weapon.
