Democrats are dropping the mask.
Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) slipped the real agenda behind the Schumer shutdown fight during an appearance on Fox News’ Mornings with Maria Bartiromo on Tuesday before the shutdown.
While trying to defend his party’s refusal to accept Republican spending cuts, Khanna openly confirmed that Democrats are demanding more funding for “healthcare” programs that include illegal immigrants.
Maria Bartiromo:
But you don’t want them to get rid of the filibuster. Nobody wants to get rid of the filibuster. They want the 60 votes and to have regular order.Look, Republicans have been on this program this morning, Congressman, and what they keep saying is that the Democrats want to make it easier for illegal immigrants to get health care.
And while they say they want to return to pre-COVID spending, there is no effort on the Democrats’ side to return to pre-COVID spending if you’re adding a trillion dollars in health care spending. Your response?
Rep. Ro Khanna:
On the filibuster, I’ve been consistent. I called for eliminating the filibuster when Joe Biden was President. I think they should do it now. They already have eliminated it for so many things like presidential appointments.So if they want to pass a budget, they’re in power. They have the Senate, they have the House, they have the President. They can do it tomorrow.
As for health care, the reality is they’re just not being honest. The amount of money that actually is going towards people who are undocumented is such a small portion of the Medicaid cuts or the Affordable Care Act, if at all. Anyone who looks at the numbers will acknowledge that 90 to 95% of the funding we’re talking about is for American citizens.
What they’re doing is cutting Medicaid funding. It’s going to hurt, as Josh Hawley has said, rural hospitals. It’s going to hurt people—90 million Americans below $75,000. Now they’re talking about anyone on the exchanges having an 80% increase in their health care premiums.
Even Khanna admits a chunk of YOUR money is going to illegals. He just wants you to believe it’s “small.” But small or not, why are Americans being forced to foot ANY part of the bill for those who broke our laws to get here?

Even Maxine Waters admitted that Democrats are giving free healthcare for illegal immigrants.
