During Fox News’s Jesse Watters powerful opening remarks on Monday night, he left no doubt about how those who glorify the assassination of Charlie Kirk and their heinous movement should be addressed while warning what other conservatives face at the hands of the radical left.
“Everyone realizes now that the country is different. Tonight, candlelight vigils are being held across American campuses. This weekend, we saw an outpouring of love from makeshift memorials to country concert chants. It wasn’t just nationwide, the whole world mourned.”
“Charlie died on the battlefield of ideas so that we could remain free and unsilenced. Those lines have been drawn. Utah was a spiritual attack. This is about good versus evil.”
“Charlie was just like us. And if they can kill him, we’re all a target. We’re all outspoken. We all love debating. We’re passionate about our beliefs and like to mix it up. There’s nothing dangerous about that. We had a revolution so people like Charlie could speak their mind without having to die. So there’s a big hole in our hearts that’ll never go away, but Americans will answer the call.”
“If they kill a joyful warrior, the next warrior might not be so joyful. But everybody should remain calm. Violence in response to Kirk’s killing should never be the answer. No one should take up arms and stoop to the left’s level. No one.”
“Charlie said, ‘That’s why I do all these debates. It’s like you can disagree vehemently with somebody, but if you’re actually communicating with them, you can appreciate them a little bit as a human being.’ And that’s what Charlie was so good at.”
“Charlie liked people he disagreed with because by talking to them face to face, he recognized their humanity. He felt sorry for some of them. A faction of them were deeply misguided, ignorant, even evil. And evil has to be confronted, because evil hasn’t been confronted in this country for far too long. The atmosphere was ripe for Charlie’s assassin to strike.”
“The country now recognizes it has a responsibility to confront evil before it’s too late, before more bloodshed.”
“The whole world’s waking up. Many are realizing that what they’ve been told about Charlie and our movement, his movement, is the opposite of what it is.”
“Our movement isn’t the party of hate or fascism or violence like you may have heard in the media. There haven’t been any violent reprisals or revenge killings or riots after September 10th. And there shouldn’t be ever.”
“All weekend we saw peace and prayer. But evil did return. They tried vandalizing Charlie’s memorials. Outside of the Turning Point headquarters in Phoenix, a 19-year-old was arrested after he started stomping on the flowers, vases, and flags. He was wearing the same shirt as the alleged assassin and got tackled by patriots and handcuffed by police. Another evil delinquent actually tried lighting a memorial on fire.”
“And for everybody still out there calling us fascists and Nazis, comparing us to the Klan, doxxing us and our families, and contributing to this dangerous, wicked, and unholy atmosphere that only leads to death and destruction and pain, you will be dealt with. Everybody will be held accountable. We will not use violence ever, but we will defend ourselves.”
“We will never sanction law breaking, but we will drive these people out of society. There will be a social cost. There will be penalties. And they’ll have to answer because this isn’t about freedom of speech. This isn’t cancel culture.This isn’t like a politically insensitive tweet someone wrote in high school.”
“Murder is not a political platform. We will not work with people who glorify assassinations. We won’t do business with them. We won’t live near them.”
“They’ll be banished, excommunicated, shunned. And the main tool at our disposal for the reckoning that’s about to take place will be sunlight. We will shine a light on everything and everyone and give everyone an opportunity to repent, to say,’ I’m sorry, I condemn this. This is unacceptable. What I’ve been participating in is poisonous.’”
“And if they don’t do that, they now know what the consequences are. We’ll root out the barbarism. I’ve never seen our movement so determined, so resolute, and so aghast at the repugnant behavior by people we call our own countrymen. These aren’t fringe players. A Secret Service agent was just put on leave for celebrating Charlie’s death.”
“Makes you wonder about Butler, doesn’t it? A top Washington Post columnist, Karen Attiah, just got fired for saying, ‘Part of what keeps America so violent is the insistence that people perform care, empty goodness and absolution for white men who espouse hatred and violence.’”
“Even Office Depot fired an employee after they refused to print posters for a Charlie Kirk vigil. These sadists are walking among us. And more companies shouldn’t be afraid of doing this.”
“The companies and leaders that are sanctioning this slime should be honored and celebrated for doing the right thing, for their bravery and conviction and principles. This vicious hatred has to be expunged from the country.”
“They’re now issuing a plea for unity so it can be used as a shield to protect them from scrutiny, to absolve them of their actions that have led up to this point. You can’t tear down our statues and censor us and call us Hitler and put us in prison and firebomb our cars and riot, de-bank us to platform us and not invite us to Thanksgiving and then start shooting at us and then tell us, ‘Eh, Trump should have called for more unity and if he doesn’t, he’s vindictive.’”
“I think we’ve been pretty tolerant up until this point. You can’t say we have to have a conversation about violence and about where this violence is really coming from when you just assassinated the guy who was trying to have the conversation.”
“They hate us because they don’t even know us. They don’t even want to know us. They don’t even talk to us. Every time a conservative speaker goes to campus, they’re shouted down. They pull fire alarms.”
“The hostility is off the charts. They don’t listen. What do you do with people who don’t listen, that don’t even see you as human, that see you as a fascist who deserves to die? These people are incapable of turning the temperature down.”
“So it’s our responsibility to do it for them, for the safety of the country and for their own safety. Their heinous movement should be politically destroyed, systematically dismantled.”
“Their financial backing should be bankrupted. Their media sponsors defeated in the marketplace. Their candidates beaten at the ballot box.”
“And their acolytes in academia, behind the pulpit, in city councils, and corporate America will be spotlighted and given one chance to confess and apologize. And if they don’t, thrown out of polite society. We cannot live with people and work with people like this. They can’t teach our children. They can’t be trusted with power.”
“And positions of authority. Every God-fearing American should take it upon themselves to get involved, get organized, and do what’s right for themselves, for their families, and for the United States of America.”
