As we reported yesterday here on TGP, the British ambassador to the US, Lord Peter Mandelson, was under heavy pressure to resign after details of his long and close relationship with late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was thrust again into the spotlight.

It turns out Prime Minister Keir Starmer decided not to wait.

Associated Press reported:

“British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday fired the UK’s ambassador to the United States, Peter Mandelson, over his links to the convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.”

The decision came after the publication this week of emails Mandelson sent to Epstein.

“‘In light of the additional information in emails written by Peter Mandelson, the prime minister has asked the foreign secretary to withdraw him as ambassador’, the Foreign Office said in a statement.

‘The emails show that the depth and extent of Peter Mandelson’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein is materially different from that known at the time of his appointment’, it added.”

Emails published by The Sun newspaper show Mandelson advising Epstein to ‘fight for early release’ shortly before Epstein was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Mandelson was sacked over his ties to Epstein.

Yesterday (10), Mandelson was forced to admit that more ‘very embarrassing’ details of the friendship are about to come out.

He has had to resort to the ‘gay card’, and claimed that because he is a homosexual, Epstein did not ‘introduce him to women’.

In the recently released ‘Epstein Birthday Book’, the ambassador referred to Epstein as his ‘best pal’, saying ‘we love you’.

The Telegraph reported:

“In an interview with Harry Cole Saves the West, his first public appearance since the revelations, he said he had not discussed the matter with Sir Keir Starmer.

[…] He added: ‘I don’t believe I’m named in the Epstein files. I have no doubt at all that there’s a lot of traffic, correspondence, exchanges, emails between us. And we know those are going to surface, we know they’re going to come out, we know they’re going to be very embarrassing and we know that I am going profoundly to regret ever having met him and been introduced to him in the first place. But I can’t rewrite history. What I can do is express my profound sympathy for those who have been trafficked by him and secondly, I can accept, yes I can accept, that I continued my association with him for too long’.”

‘Petey’ Mandelson celebrates his birthday at Epstein’s Paris apartment.

But the loving notes are not even to worst of it, as a £1bn deal also resurfaced.

It involved a taxpayer-owned banking business, and was negotiated while Lord Mandelson was Business Secretary and Epstein had been released from prison.

“Sempra Commodities, a joint venture between the taxpayer-owned Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Sempra Energy, was sold to JP Morgan in a deal on which Epstein gave advice to both Lord Mandelson and to Jes Staley, a senior executive with JP Morgan who has since been banned from the City over his relationship with the disgraced financier.

The Tories have now demanded an investigation into the close friendship between the two men, as well as any commercial dealings with Epstein.”
