Bill Barr, who served as Attorney General during the second half of Trump’s first term, is the first person to appear before the Oversight Committee to testify in its investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.
Barr, flanked by his attorneys, arrived to the Capitol for his deposition and did not answer any questions.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer later told reporters that Bill Barr testified that he has never seen anything in the Epstein documents that would implicate President Trump.
“He said that he had never seen anything that would implicate President Trump in any of this, and that he believed if there had been anything pertaining to President Trump with respect to the Epstein list, that he felt like the Biden administration would probably have leaked it out,” Comer told reporters while Bill Barr was still behind close doors testifying.
Comer also told reporters that he expects to obtain all the documents related to the Epstein investigation soon.
