British PM Starmer Faces RIDICULE After Losing Control of Leftist Rebels in His Own Labour Party, Having To Make HUGE CONCESSIONS To Approve His Welfare Reform Legislation

Starmer seems primed to lose power in the UK.

How long can Starmer survive this non-stop debacle?

Labour party leader Sir Keir Starmer became Prime Minister after a 14-year run by the Conservatives, with David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, and Rishi Sunak holding the premiership, and all of them doing a bad job.

Starmer was elected with a vast majority in the House of Commons, but ever since coming into office, he has seen nothing but trouble, demented policies and scandals: from accepting freebies from donors, cutting senior fuel benefits while freeing dangerous criminals, doing nothing to stop de illegals invading the British Isles, blocking an inquest into the Pakistani rape gangs targeting British girls, defending late-term abortions ‘up until birth’, arresting people for memes and X posts… the list goes on.

Pardon my French, but the shit-show is never-ending.

Now, it becomes difficult to see how he can survive the fact that he lost control of his own Labour party.

Take a look at some of the latest headlines here in TGP:

‘The Incredible Shrinking Premier’.

The Telegraph reports on how Starmer watered down his flagship welfare cuts legislation making it ‘pointless’ in what they termed ‘a farcical climbdown’ to thwart the rebellion of Labour MPs.

“A planned crackdown on the personal independence payment (Pip), which helps disabled people with extra costs, was dropped just 90 minutes before the crunch vote.

The late concession came when it appeared dozens of rebels were still willing to vote down the package, even though it had already been gutted last week to appease critics.”

49 Labour MPs still voted against the Bill, making it the worst moment of the 1-year-old Starmer premiership.

“Government ministers faced ridicule from Labour critics, who dubbed the handling of the changes ‘shambolic’, ‘unedifying’ and a ‘total clusterf— of Godzilla proportions’.”

Starmer’s government is a ‘total clusterf— of Godzilla proportions’, according to a Labour critic.

What this all means is that after months of efforts, the bulk of the £4.6 billion of annual savings the legislation was to deliver have been lost.

So new tax rises are now expected this autumn.

“Labour Left-wingers are expected to seize on Sir Keir’s weakness and push for further policy changes, such as a new raid on wealth or relaxed rules on immigration.

The mishandling of the welfare package, despite a working majority in the House of Commons of 165, is also likely to fuel Labour calls for an overhaul in Number 10.”

Check out the reaction of Tory leader, Kemi Badenoch, and of the Reform UK party:

Starmer’s backbenchers decided to celebrate their first year in government by rebelling.

In the words of one Labour MP the government are “incoherent and shambolic”.

I agree.
