Gavin Newsom spoke out on President Trump, saying he would arrest Gavin Newsom if he were Tom Homan, with another challenge, inviting the President to “scalp” him.
President Trump on Monday said Newsom’s arrest “would be a great thing,” adding, “I would do it if I were Tom [Homan].”
This comes after Newsom dared Tom Homan to arrest him during an interview with the media at the LAPD headquarters. Homan, however, says he never made the threat, but simply said anybody who violates the law will be referred to the Department of Justice, and “no one’s above the law.”
As President Trump noted, “Gavin likes the publicity.” He is engaging in a publicity stunt with calls for his own arrest, though he should be arrested for what he’s allowing on the streets of California.
The President further said California officials “will face charges” if they “stand in the way of law and order” during a press gaggle on Sunday amid the ongoing riots and federal investigations in California.
As The Gateway Pundit reported on Monday, a frightened Newsom cried victim when initially breaking his silence on the President’s statements. “The President of the United States just called for the arrest of a sitting Governor,” Newsom wrote. “This is a day I hoped I would never see in America.”
“I don’t care if you’re a Democrat or a Republican, this is a line we cannot cross as a nation — this is an unmistakable step toward authoritarianism,” he added.
Now, he’s playing the tough guy, stating in an interview that the President should “just get it over with” and arrest him. “If you need some head to scalp, do it with me,” he said while telling a sob story about how scared the illegal aliens in his state are of law and order.
He is likely trying to martyr himself and cry political persecution as he gears up for a presidential run in 2028. However, unlike President Trump, Newsom isn’t being railroaded with criminal charges and lawfare because he’s a popular candidate, and he’s on the losing side of an 80-20 issue: Protecting criminal illegal aliens, rapists, murderers, child molestors, and gangsters.

Newsom: This is why I told the president, “Just, just get it over with. Arrest me. Move on. If you need some head to scalp, do it with me. But stop messing with these kids. Stop messing with four year olds, kids in elementary school.” We’ve got kids. We have hundreds of graduations down here. Kids are not going to their own graduations. Families, grandparents, here legally, mixed status families, in some cases, scared to death to go to a graduation.
People are scared to walk down the streets. It’s not just Home Depot. It’s getting their car washed. We have incidences— I didn’t believe it because ICE, what was I thinking? Actually I believe when they said this is not true. But then I saw videos. They’re doing checkpoints, checking people’s IDs. We’ve never seen this kind of deployment and so many actions. It’s mass panic out here in the nation’s largest county, in the nation’s largest state. Good, hard working people, decent people. These are not the criminals. These are not the thugs.
Newsom also announced a lawsuit against Trump for sending in the National Guard to stop the violent uprising of illegal aliens and paid radical leftists.
