President Trump on Thursday announced Judge Jeanine Pirro will be appointed interim US Attorney for DC.
Trump wrote on Truth Social:
“I am pleased to announce that Judge Jeanine Pirro will be appointed interim United States Attorney for the District of Columbia. Jeanine was Assistant District Attorney for Westchester County, New York, and then went on to serve as County Judge, and District Attorney, where she was the first woman ever to be elected to those positions.
During her time in office, Jeanine was a powerful crusader for victims of crime. Her establishment of the Domestic Violence Bureau in her Prosecutor’s Office was the first in the Nation.
She excelled in all ways. In addition to her Legal career, Jeanine previously hosted her own Fox News Show, Justice with Judge Jeanine, for ten years, and is currently Co-Host of The Five, one of the Highest Rated Shows on Television. Jeanine is incredibly well qualified for this position, and is considered one of the Top District Attorneys in the History of the State of New York. She is in a class by herself. Congratulations Jeanine!”
President Trump pulled Ed Martin’s nomination for DC US Attorney on Thursday after Senator Tillis derailed his confirmation.
On Tuesday RINO Senator Thom Tillis, who voted to confirm Biden’s radical pick for Attorney General Merrick Garland, told reporters that he opposes the nomination of Ed Martin for DC US Attorney for political reasons.
“I have no tolerance for anybody who entered the building on January the 6th, and that’s probably where most of the friction was,” Tillis said.
“If Mr. Martin were being put forth as a US Attorney for any district except the district where January 6 happened, the protest happened, I’d probably support him, but not in this district,” Tillis said in a shocking admission to CNN’s Manu Raju.

Tillis gloated after he realized he got a scalp on Wednesday evening.
“People don’t believe me when I say I think I have a good relationship with President Trump but I still think I have a good relationship with President Trump. I’m trying to watch his back,” Tillis said to CNN reporter Manu Raju on Wednesday evening.
