On Friday, April 18, the White House published its first two videos in “The Story of America” series detailing American history, in commemoration of America’s 250th birthday on July 4, 2026.

These initial videos, titled, “The Story of America, an Introduction,” and “The Shot Heard Round the World: The Battles of Lexington and Concord” offer an educational perspective on historic events, as narrated by professors at Hillsdale College, the renowned, conservative Christian university with core curriculum based upon the United States Constitution.

Consequently, the White House added new subpages to its official website titled “Founding Fathers,” “Video Library,” and “America 250.”

The “Founding Fathers” subpage describes, in detail, seven of the most illustrious founding fathers of the United States.

The “Video Library” page showcases the White House’s new educational video series teaching United States history, while also displaying twenty pages worth of video clips that capture the second Trump administration’s most historic moments, to date.

Notably, the “America 250” page presents “The Story of America” video series, following an announcement of President Trump’s full-fledged initiative to celebrate America’s “most important milestone” throughout the coming year.

Beneath a banner displaying President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump during a fireworks show in Washington, DC, the official  White House lettering reads,

This is the story of America.

On July 4, 2026, America will celebrate the most important milestone in our country’s history–250 years of American Independence. “With a single sheet of parchment and 56 signatures, America began the greatest political journey in human history,” said President Trump of this momentous anniversary.

Under the President’s leadership, the Salute to America 250 Task Force (“Task Force 250”) has commenced the planning of a full year of festivities to officially launch on Memorial Day, 2025 and continue through July 4th, 2026.

The White House is engaging and encouraging the entire federal government, state and local governments, the private sector, non-profit and educational institutions, and every citizen across this country to join in this historic celebration.

Task Force 250 invites citizens to have a renewed love of American history, experience the beauty of our country, and ignite a spirit of adventure and innovation that will raise our nation to new heights over the next 250 years.

As part of these efforts, Task Force 250 is proud to present an original video series, “The Story of America.”

The White House Salute to America 250 Task Force has partnered with Hillsdale College to provide a history series that tells the remarkable story of American Independence. It will highlight the stories of the crucial characters and events that resulted in a small rag-tag army defeating the mightiest empire in the world and establishing the greatest republic ever to exist. This is our shared heritage and our proud destiny that will continue to lead us to unimaginable achievements in the centuries to come.

Now, Americans and international viewers alike have the opportunity to learn American history from the world’s foremost experts when visiting the White House website.

For Americans, commemorating a quarter of a millennium since the most free and powerful nation in the history of mankind was born should inspire a newfound wave of patriotism across the land.

We can only begin to imagine the glorious celebrations that President Trump’s White House has in store.
