WATCH: Tom Homan Blows Up Kaitlan Collins When She Uses an Old Court Ruling to Defend MS-13 Gangster Abrego Garcia

Since President Trump returned to the Oval Office, CNN’s Kaitlan Collins has had a rough go of it. Things did not get better for her Thursday night when she decided to invite border czar Tom Homan on her show to discuss the most infamous MS-13 gangster in the world.

As TGP readers know, the Trump administration recently sent Kilmer Abrego Garcia, who illegally entered America in 2011, back to his home country.

The administration cited two court rulings that found that he was an MS-13 gang member.

This made him both a designated foreign terrorist and an illegal alien despite an activist immigration judge issuing a 2019 ruling allowing him to remain in Maryland based on fears for his safety.

At the time, El Salvador was one of the most violent countries in the world, but now it is the safest in the Western Hemisphere.

The Supreme Court has since ordered the Trump administration to ‘facilitate ‘Abrego Garcia’s return. This ruling came after an Obama judge demanded the administration not just “facilitate” but also “effectuate’ the man’s return.

However, Abrego Garcia remains in El Salvador despite the Supreme Court ruling because the country’s president, Nayib Bukele, has repeatedly ruled out shipping him back to America.

During her interview with Homan, Collins closely relied on the long-ago and outdated ruling in 2019 to make her case that the Trump Administration screwed up. But her strategy unsurprisingly blew up in her face.

“I’ve seen some people look at this and say they’re worried that the stance of this administration when it comes to this is if someone is deported by accident, they have no responsibility for them once they are in the custody of a foreign government. What would you say to that?” Collins asked Homan.

The border czar responded by repeating the facts of the case to Collins as if she were a first-grader.

“Well, he’s in the custody of El Salvador; he’s an El Salvadoran national,” Homan replied. “El Salvador has him in custody…The El Salvadoran president has made it clear he’s not going to release him.”

“The DOJ is going to fight this out…The courts will decide what the next steps will be,” he continued.

Undeterred, Collins brought up the 2019 immigration judge’s ruling, conveniently ‘forgetting’ several facts have changed, including El Salvador’s crime rate and the fact that Abrego Garcia has since been designated a terrorist.

“Even though it was an immigration judge that said the one place he can’t go is El Salvador, he could have been deported anywhere else…” Collins protested before Homan quickly interjected.

He proceeded to shut the CNN hack down completely.

“We keep going back and back…That was years ago, the country was different,” Homan fired back. “That gang no longer exists in El Salvador.”

“He has been designated a terrorist since that time,” the border czar added. “Two different federal judges said he’s an MS-13 member. A police department said he’s an MS-13 member. ICE data shows he’s an MS-13 member. El Salvador said he’s an MS-13 member.”

“As you know, MS-13 has been designated a terrorist organization. The facts of the case have changed since that first decision.”
