Earlier this week, reports began to circulate about the concealment of a December 2022 report regarding the seven U.S. military service members who contracted a COVID-like illness in fall 2019 during the World Military Games in Wuhan, China.
In response to Jim Hoft’s recent article that “confirms Gateway Pundit was correct” about their previous determination on the matter, Mike Gary, a CBRN response expert reached out to the news site to offer comment.
As a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear response expert with over 15 years of direct operational experience and 27 years of military service, Gary admitted he has been “gravely concerned from the outset” that the COVID-19 outbreak was not merely a natural pandemic. Rather, he sees strong potential that it was “an intentional bioweapon release.”
TGP’s bombshell revelation that the Secretary of Defense has now confirmed the 2019 World Military Games in Wuhan as a probable point of origin demands immediate national attention, he asserted.
“From my perspective, this event represented a perfect opportunity for a covert biological operation—one that exploited the stealth and delayed impact of an aerosolized pathogen like SARS-CoV-2.”
Gary explained, “Bioweapons, unlike chemical agents, are insidious by design, [adding that] they’re hard to detect, allow for plausible deniability, and create widespread confusion.”
He asserted, “We ignored the textbook indicators of a potential bio-attack and instead dismissed legitimate inquiries, even as evidence of gain-of-function research and dual-use enhancements to the spike protein.” And according to him, “[This was] confirmed in whistleblower Major Joseph Murphy’s DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) disclosures.”
Furthermore, he pointed out that international law expert Dr. Francis Boyle sounded the alarm as early as January 2020, identifying the Wuhan Institute of Virology as a likely origin and explicitly warning of its ties to the Chinese military.
“Instead of heeding these warnings,” Gary said, “leaders across government and military circles actively suppressed questions and punished those who sought accountability.”
“I experienced this firsthand,” Gary shared, explaining he was “persecuted, removed from deputy command, and labeled an extremist simply for refusing the experimental vaccine and urging transparency within the chain of command.”
Through his training as a CBRN officer, he was taught to detect and respond to these exact threats. And while he tried to speak out, he was silenced. “If we had approached this event with the seriousness it deserved—evaluating both an intentional release and lab leak as our top courses of action—we might have mitigated much of the fallout,” he argued.
“Instead, our leadership chose willful blindness, and now the truth is finally catching up,” he noted. “We must hold those responsible accountable and ensure this never happens again.”
