President Donald Trump has issued a powerful ultimatum to the Chinese Communist Party: withdraw your new 34% retaliatory tariff on U.S. goods by tomorrow or face a crippling 50% tariff from the United States.
Communist China’s tantrum came after President Trump’s bold and long-overdue move to impose reciprocal tariffs on Chinese imports—an action that millions of forgotten American workers have waited for decades to see.
But instead of accepting the reality that their days of robbing the U.S. blind are over, the CCP is resorting to its usual playbook of deceit, deflection, and economic warfare.
Last week, President Donald Trump announced a 34% tariff on Chinese imports, citing the need to address a 67% trade barrier imposed by China.
According to a translated propaganda piece from China’s Ministry of Finance, Beijing whined that the United States’ fair tariff enforcement was “unilateral bullying” and claimed it “undermines global economic development.”
Never mind that China has spent decades engaging in currency manipulation, slave labor, corporate espionage, and systematically destroying American industry.
China’s newly announced 34% tariff on all American imports is scheduled to take effect at 12:01 AM on April 10, 2025—but President Trump isn’t letting it slide.
Trump previously wrote on Truth Social: “CHINA PLAYED IT WRONG, THEY PANICKED — THE ONE THING THEY CANNOT AFFORD TO DO!”
On Monday, in a fiery statement delivered on Truth Social, Trump made it clear: if the Chinese don’t back off by April 8, a fresh 50% U.S. tariff will slap Chinese goods by April 9—no negotiations, no second chances.
Trump wrote:
“Yesterday, China issued Retaliatory Tariffs of 34%, on top of their already record setting Tariffs, Non-Monetary Tariffs, Illegal Subsidization of companies, and massive long term Currency Manipulation…
Therefore, if China does not withdraw its 34% increase above their already long term trading abuses by tomorrow, April 8th, 2025, the United States will impose ADDITIONAL Tariffs on China of 50%, effective April 9th.
Additionally, all talks with China concerning their requested meetings with us will be terminated! Negotiations with other countries, which have also requested meetings, will begin taking place immediately.”
