The woke Snow White remake keeps underperforming.
The live-action remake of the classic children’s fairy tale is currently well short of earning $100 million domestically, meaning Disney is facing a major loss against its massive $250 million theatrical budget.

Disney’s “Snow White” is in fourth place after earning $1.5 million on Friday, going down 60% from its daily total one week ago.
Now in its third weekend of release, the live-action remake of the company’s original animated classic has faded quickly in theaters after putting up what was already a disappointing debut.
Domestic gross now stands at $72 million, and the film is in serious danger of not even hitting $100 million in North America — a disastrous result for a $250 million Hollywood production.
In addition to receiving lackluster reviews, the film has become a magnet for controversy, much of it centered around far-left actress Rachel Zegler.
Zegler drew backlash after dismissing the 1937 animated classic, referring to Prince Charming as a “stalker” and vowing that the remake would present a feminist retelling where Snow White aspires to be a “leader” rather than fall in love.
Her outspoken political views have further alienated audiences.
After Donald Trump won the presidency, Zegler went on a tirade against his supporters, declaring they “should not know peace.”
“There is a deep, deep sickness in this country that is shown in the sheer amount of people who showed up for this man who threatens our democracy,” she said.
“May Trump supporters and Trump voters and Trump himself never know peace.”
She later apologized for her remarks, admitting that she “let my emotions get the best of me.”
“Hatred and anger have caused us to move further and further away from peace and understanding, and I am sorry I contributed to the negative discourse,” she said.
Meanwhile, Jonah Platt, son of the film’s producer Marc Platt, took to Instagram to berate Zegler, blaming her for damaging the film’s prospects with her “immature” and “narcissistic” behavior during the press tour.
He wrote:
Yeah, my dad, the producer of enormous piece of Disney IP with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line, had to leave his family to to fly across the country to reprimand his 20 year old employee for dragging her personal politics into the middle of promoting the movie for which she signed a multi-million dollar contract to get paid and do publicity for.
This is called adult responsibility and accountability. And her actions clearly hurt the film’s box office. Free speech does not mean you’re allowed to say whatever you want in your private employment without repercussions.
Tens of thousands of people worked on that film and she hijacked the conversation for her own immature desires at the risk of all the colleagues and crew and blue collar workers who depend on that movie to be successful.
Narcissism is not something to be coddled or encouraged.
