It should not be controversial to call Tren de Aragua what they are: a violent, murderous gang that should not be allowed to roam freely in the U.S. to victimize American citizens.
But in an effort to “humanize” these monsters, CBS News decided to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by comparing the violent gang to Irish immigrants.
The insulting and incorrect assessment was pushed by anchors John Dickerson and Maurice DuBois.
John Dickerson: On this St. Patrick’s Day, as millions of Americans celebrate their Irish heritage, recent events remind us that the Irish were among the first immigrants to be targeted in deportation crackdowns.
Maurice DuBois: In the mid-1800s, New York and Massachusetts enforced policies to have Irish immigrants rounded up and deported.
John Dickerson: The American Civil Liberties Union didn’t exist then, but if it had, it may have taken the legal position it is taking now, suing the Trump administration to stop what it considers to be the illegal deportation over the weekend of more than 200 migrants to El Salvador.

22-year-old University of Georgia student Laken Riley was murdered in cold blood by Jose Ibarra, a 26-year-old illegal immigrant from Venezuela and alleged member of Tren de Aragua.
The two illegal immigrants charged with raping and killing 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray are also suspected of having ties to the notorious Venezuelan gang.
In December, police arrested 14 people from an Aurora, Colorado, apartment complex taken over by Tren de Aragua Gang where ‘tortured’ residents were found tied up and stabbed.

But that’s right, Irish Americans, according to the leftists at CBS, your Granda or Granny from Cork are indistinguishable from a transnational gang member who comes to the U.S. for the sole purpose of expanding their international crime syndicate to terrorize American communities.
