President Trump held a press conference at the Justice Department on Friday and used it as an opportunity to rip far-left judges and blast corrupt prosecutors.
Trump’s remarks on Friday were focused on restoring law and order and ending the weaponization of the department.
“We must be honest about the lies and abuses that have occurred within these walls. Unfortunately, in recent years, a corrupt group of hacks and radicals within the ranks of the American government obliterated that trust and goodwill built up over generations,” Trump said, according to NBC News. “They weaponized the vast powers of our intelligence and law enforcement agencies to try and thwart the will of the American people.”
“Our predecessors turned this Department of Justice into the Department of Injustice,” Trump said. “But I stand before you today to declare that those days are over, and they are never going to come back. They’re never coming back. So now, as the chief law enforcement officer in our country, I will insist upon and demand full and complete accountability for the wrongs and abuses that have occurred.”
Trump used colorful language to slam Jack Smith’s classified documents witch hunt.
“I promised my wife I would never use a bad word… just a little bad – the case against me was bullshit!” Trump said to applause.
Trump praised Judge Cannon for dismissing the bogus case: “And she correctly dismissed it.”
