Are the Obamas ‘soft launching’ a divorce?
Rumors the Obamas were headed for a divorce began in December after Michelle Obama skipped Jimmy Carter’s funeral and announced she wouldn’t be attending Trump’s inauguration.
It was also recently reported that Barack and Michelle Obama’s largest donors have dropped them amid rumors about their marriage.
Last month Meghan McCain added fuel to the long-swirling speculation surrounding the marriage of Barack and Michelle Obama, claiming that her sources have confirmed the former first couple is living “separate lives.”
“I have been hearing this rumor that the Obamas are getting a divorce from very reputable people,” McCain revealed on political reporter Tara Palmeri’s podcast, “Somebody’s Gotta Win with Tara Palmeri.”
“I’m not talking about TMZ. I’m not talking about Perez Hilton, although I love him, he’s my friend. I’m talking about serious journalists telling me the divorce rumors are true.”
The two have tried to shut down divorce rumors by posting love notes on social media, but most aren’t buying it since they haven’t been spotted together in public in months.
The Obamas posted the obligatory ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ love messages to each other last month.
“If there’s one person I can always count on, it’s you, @BarackObama. You’re my rock. Always have been. Always will be. Happy Valentine’s Day, honey! 
” Michelle Obama said on Instagram.
Barack Obama posted the same exact photo to his social media.
“Thirty-two years together and you still take my breath away. Happy Valentine’s Day, @MichelleObama!” Barack Obama said.
No one believes Barack Obama is smitten with Michelle.
Megyn Kelly and Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan discussed Barack Obama’s recent public outings without Michelle.
Barack Obama was recently seen at a Clippers game without Michelle. He was also spotted at dinner with his daughters, Malia and Sasha – again, without Michelle.
“I think they’re soft launching a divorce,” Maureen Callahan said.
