Yesterday on The View, Joy Behar got an education from guest Stephen A. Smith of ESPN.
Behar was downplaying the size of Trump’s election win in November and suggesting that he does not have a mandate. Stephen A. Smith said that he is not a Trump supporter but went on to say that Trump absolutely does have a mandate. He then explained why.
The audience was very quiet as Smith went over some of the numbers from the election and Behar had to sit there and listen.
The Daily Mail reported:
Behar started by addressing Trump’s first few weeks in office, proclaiming that his first six weeks ‘feels like six years, doesn’t it?’
‘And he’s been going around with his cronies, toting his so-called “landslide” and “blow out win” but he won the popular vote by 1.5 percent, one of the smallest ever, and he won the general election by less than 50 percent. So what is this mandate, really?’ she said.
Smith took no time putting Behar in her place with his scathing response.
He defiantly said: ‘It is a mandate, and I’m going to tell you why,’ before stating that he is not a supporter of Trump, but instead he is a supporter of ‘truth.’
The View guest then swept the floor with Behar’s lousy argument, telling her that Trump won ‘every swing state’ and increased his voter turnout in the black, Hispanic, and young people demographics.
‘Eighty nine percent of the counties shifted to the right,’ Smith said, before raising his voice to the panel: ‘That’s a mandate!’

People like Joy Behar really just can’t be helped. She will find negativity and fault wherever Trump is concerned. She has an untreatable case of TDS.
