Rep. Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ) has revealed to The Gateway Pundit that he plans to introduce a new bill to force states to print federal election ballots only in English.
The Trump-Endorsed freshman lawmaker previously ran for Arizona Attorney General in the rigged 2022 election and reportedly lost by just 280 votes when 60% of voting machines failed, causing four-hour wait times in the state’s largest county, Maricopa. Among his top priorities in this Congress is to secure elections and prevent noncitizens from voting.
“I will be introducing legislation to eliminate federal funding for states that issue ballots in multiple languages,” Hamadeh told The Gateway Pundit. “Federal elections should be conducted in English—clear, consistent, and without exceptions.”
This comes after President Trump signed an executive order on Saturday designating English as the official language of the United States.
The order states that it’s “long past time that English is declared as the official language of the United States,” citing the use of English throughout American history as the de facto national language since the founding of the United States and on our founding documents.
Following this news, Hamadeh said on X, “All ballots with federal elections should only be printed in English.”

The Congressman told us, “President Trump’s executive order laid the groundwork, and it’s time to solidify that standard into our elections.”
Hamadeh previously told The Gateway Pundit that he plans to introduce legislation to ban ranked-choice voting and help Republicans pass the SAVE Act, which will require documentary proof of citizenship to vote.
Congress previously failed to pass the SAVE Act before the 2024 election. But now, with President Trump in the White House and a majority in both chambers of Congress, Republican lawmakers have no excuse to allow illegal aliens and fictitious individuals to vote without proving they’re a lawful voter.
